Needing a rear tire for the '04 EV and it is wearing the Metzler Lasertech at this time Which I cannot seem to find Anywhere...

I do find a Roadtec model... 140/80-17

Same...? Newer model possibly...?

Metzeler still makes the Lasertec but AMT tire shows them out of stock. I run those on my BMW and bought mine about 8 months ago. my$.02

Have you considered the 130/90/17? Usually more choices in that size.
