Exhaust options
« on: May 04, 2026, 05:32:56 PM »
2015 2015 V7ii.  My factory chrome exhaust looks good and sounds good but is very heavy.  What's a good option for replacement that's not too pricey?

If you like the looks and the sound I recommend sticking with stock.  The weight is only noticeable when the muffler is in your hand.   Most new muffler options will be in the neighborhood of $1000 and many of those will come with a tariff.  You could cast around for some used units to save money, but I think you are in a good spot right now and a fatter wallet to boot.

I replaced the heavy stock exhaust on my V7 Racer with a set of slip-ons from Zard. Probably shaved 20# of weight. No noticeable power increase but the handling in the curves was dramatically improved.

Emgo makes Dunstall Replicas plus a lot of other styles that won’t break the bank. From experience on my Norton and Guzzi EV the Dunstalls will give noticeable HP increase. Not sure they will fit your bike though.
