CPS Sensor Plug and a couple others
« on: May 26, 2026, 03:34:07 AM »
So I'm getting the dreaded P0355 crankshaft sensor error once in a while (2007 Norge). Last one disabled the bike at work so I had to get it towed home.
Ordered another sensor from AK24parts (Facet 9.0032) since they are the only ones with decent shipping rates to Singapore.
Lo and behold the bike fires up at home, must have had a good rest on the back of the tow truck for those 35km back home.

Will replace the sensor after checking its not gotten loose on the engine side.
My question is about the resistance between pins 2 and 3 - I read that it should be around 640 Ohms and I'm getting around 700 which is within the +/- 10% spec but its between pins 1 & 2. 2&3 give me nothing.

Just to make absolutely sure. The picture below shows the plug location and I'm measuring the correct CPS (GU01721600) plug right?

Was going to replace the spark plugs that I also ordered online and need to take off the airbox - how do you go about removing these clamps? Are they one-time use only?

Appreciate the help.
Regards,

W.

Oetiker single ear clamp and typically OEM are single use. You can get reusable ones. Best to use specialist pliers and it's often cheaper to buy a kit with different sized clamps, rather than individually. I got mine at Aliexpress and should've bought some decades ago, instead of substituting with Jubilee worm drive clamps.
I'll be interested in how to remove the OEM properly - I usually shove a screwdriver into the 'ear' and twist to loosen the clip.

Did you end up getting reusable ones instead of the normal "single ear" one time use clamps?
Been looking on Ali but not much luck on the finding the correct sized reuseable ones.

Actually those are Clic clamps and are meant to be reusable. Looking closely you will see that they are marked as to brand and size.
Look here.

They sell a special tool for them as well. I have long used a small screwdriver to open them and small diagonal cutters to reclose them. The color of the tiny plastic strip pinched in the ear also has some specific meaning I have long since forgotten.

I actually bought the reusable clips first, then pliers. I don't know what diameter you require (neither did I, so bought an assortment).
