New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
Charlie,Did the generator light work correctly with the alternator that you linked??I have a Denso copy for a spare that the light does not work right.Tom
I'm considering making my own bracket - not quite ready to spend $140 plus shipping on one.
Harper's has them. https://harpermoto.com/products/12700300m-loopframe-alternator-bracket-onlyJoe Walano "The Guzzi Doctor" may also have some left to sell. I installed one on my police Eldo and the hole for the oil line was too high, so unless they've moved it, that needs to be modified. Edit: one other thing I did: removed the powercoating on the underside so there would be a good ground to the case, and removed it also where the alternator contacts the bracket for the same reason. Greg Bender sells a harness. I bought a Nippon-Denso copy alternator on ebay.https://www.ebay.com/itm/306059867870
Charlie, That isn't one of my conversion brackets
Charlie, do you use the same pulley that comes on the ebay alternator?thanks Rick.
Charlie - yeah, I know - how much is my time worth? And how much is my money worth? I do enjoy making stuff, but on the other hand, I've already got more than enough projects. So I really need to prioritize. This project isn't going to be back on the road any time soon, so there's plenty of time to make a decision. And, I guess, the condition of the generator will factor in as well. Joe - would you have any brackets left for sale? If not, plans or drawings?
I have 4 left, one is powder coated three are raw steel. They are 125.00 each plus 25.00 shipping in the US.
