Pre-2021 V9 / V7 III Exhaust Compatibility?
« on: June 09, 2026, 10:57:10 AM »
I want to replace my V9 Bobber’s stock mufflers with something else to better fit my café look, but options are limited. Do the V9 and V7 III have the same pipe diameter? My V7 III didn’t have the stock exhaust headers when I bought it, so I unfortunately can’t compare myself.

Or, to open up the options further, should I simply measure the diameter of the V9’s headers, find aftermarket mufflers that match the diameter, and deal with the mounting DIY-style? I like the look of the MASS and Mistral short mufflers, but I’d just like to see other options and maybe go with something upswept that harkens back to older cafes or the LM series.

My 17 v7III is 50. MM about 2" from the head. It has Mistral shorties and sounds great.

Thanks, Vagrant. I measured my V9’s headers—inner pipe at the base where the mufflers clamp on is ~38mm, and the double wall measures 50mm.
