Something Different (pic)
« on: June 14, 2026, 05:17:04 AM »
This is a 2026 Kawasaki Versys 650 ABS.  Weighs about 500 pounds and makes 65 horsepower.  Front and rear preload and rebound adjustable suspension.

120/17 front and 160/17 rear.  Comfortable upright riding position.  Picked it up Wednesday and made 300 miles so far and it's a blast.

A close friend has put about 100,000 miles on three of them, ranging from a 2008 to a 2021 IIRC.  They are excellent all around motorcycles!

We always swap bikes for a bit when we ride.  Every time I get off the VerSys I think I should buy one.

You are going to love it!!!

I had a 16 for a few years. Fantastic overall package. It was just too heavy and top heavy and tall for short old me.

I know exactly what you mean about too-tall motorcycles.
I usually get an aftermarket "low" seat and then a lowering set of dog bones and then run the fork tubes up into the triple trees.

And then ya gotta shorten the side stand.  I'm pretty good with that.   :boozing: :boozing: :boozing:

Had an '08 for a few years, apart from being a bit tall, it was excellent. Little motor is amazing!!!

I love the blue one shown. I think they just want too much for them these days. For the money my local store gets it BETTER have 100+ hp and fancy something or another. Congrats on your bike. It’s pretty.
