V100 valve adjustment??
« on: August 02, 2026, 11:22:14 PM »
Reviews state that the V100 engine is a DOHC  and I'm wondering about the valve adjustment.  Is it with shims, which is common on modern DOHCs, or screw-type like the V7.

It uses shims to adjust the valve clearance. If you read the service manual, it describes a very difficult procedure to swap out shims. But I’ve read the job can be done much easier by removing the finger followers with the cams still in place.
