Hello All,  Just rejoined the forum after many years away.  Had a couple of Moto Guzzis in the past - a V11 Sport and a California Vintage.  Riding BMWs now - a R9T and a R18 - but thinking about adding a V85 TT Travel as a mid-weight adventure/touring bike.  Will be trying to catch up on all the information and will hopefully add to the discussions in the future.

Hi from GA USA. I've been riding since 97. I'm 65 now and retired for awhile now. sold my last bike which was  a bmw s1000xr. I've had a lot of various italian bikes over the years. and have been looking at the V7 for some years now. The 26 V7 sport seems to have added quite a bit to the model.

I admit I'm torn as the 24-25 V7s are available for  a good price, but really like the specs of the 26 sport.

I'm looking for just a tooling around type of ride, no more touring.

Honestly for the savings on a leftover you can get a lot better front and rear suspension made for you, bag mounts, center stand, brake pads etc.

Hello everybody!

My name is Krunoslav, I am 54 y.o. motorcycle enthusiast from Croatia (Europe) and have a 1989 Moto Guzzi Mille GT (beside two other bikes).
I bought that bike two years ago with approx. 25000 kilometers (15500 miles), in visually good condition, but (as it seems) with no maintenance ever, except for the basic service.

1.  Welcome to the group.  Lots of good information here.  Do a search under "Mille GT" to get to a fair number of posts specifically relating to that model.
2.  I had a 1990 red Mille GT until a few years ago, when I sold it to get a 1973 Eldorado that was more comfortable for my aging body.  You can find nearly 100% of any needed parts for the Mille fairly easily.  Unless things have changed since I had mine, the ONLY totally unobtainable new or NOS parts I know of are the disc rotors for the brakes on the alloy wheels.  Rotors for the wire wheels were/are easy to find, but not for the alloy wheels.

Where you at Chris, got the 120mi from dealer over at GT site, I don't need a dealer. Haven't been in one since I quit working there. I'm 45mi NE of ATL

I'm located down in columbus. I've watched some vids so I'm pretty confident I can do the service myself, main issue is dealer support. Tho we do have a shop called southern vintage which works on older guzzis, so in a pinch believe they could help me.

Yes, that's a stretch to dealers, most can be done by you. If you want to see what it's doing or need to look at it, read the GuzziDiag thread. You could also get a box that plugs in from Guzzi Tech w/map download. Ride Safe
