Other fork braces for 850T besides Tarrozi out there?
« on: November 07, 2015, 01:04:33 PM »
Just wondering, if there were any other manufacturers that produce a fork brace for the older Tontis?  Thanks :)

Perhaps a stupid question -- why does an 850T need a fork brace? My T-3 has a big-ass upright windshield and I have never felt anything that would make me think the fork needs bracing, but maybe I don't know enough to recognize the problem that at fork brace is supposed to solve? Truly just curious here, not critiquing the OP.

Kern makes some quality fork braces:

some really beautiful braces, but haven't seen any Moto Guzzi support on the site

The previous owner installed one like this on my LMIII.  I've seen others on BMWs, but have never seen them listed for Guzzis.  People tell me the design was originally available from a cycle parts supplier out of California in the '80s.  The fender "ears" had to be cut off to fit the LM.

Looks like this guy is making them himself and can get you the measurements.

The single disc brake can really twist the fork making steering difficult.
