850T Tool Kit
« on: August 28, 2016, 09:58:50 PM »

This bag was in the box of misc stuff that came with the bike. Is this original? I think some of the tools are. Bag is shot so I'll try to find something similar.

That could be the original.  Mine's not.  Take a look at the last page at http://www.thisoldtractor.com/mg_manuals/spare_parts_catalog_t.pdf

Yes, that is what the original looked like, so probably is the real McCoy.

I wish someone would reproduce those bags.  I have one in black vinyl, and one in green canvas.

Friend of mine is going to try to reproduce it with some left over shoe leather. I told him not to put a Swoosh on it.

it seems to me that the V7 Sport set is identical to the 850T set, no?

Yup that's the original bag - or what's left of it...   I am lucky enough to have mine still, including all the original tools!  Any upholstery shop should be able to copy it easily.

Excuse my ignorance.  What is the pointed tool with the looped top in the middle of the bottom row?

Flat-blade screwdriver tip, used as the handle for the plug socket and to hold axles while tightening the axle nut.

:1:  Bag is original.  Looks like other ones that I have.  The tools that I have oem suck.  Only good for emergencies and sometimes not.  BMW has way better tools for the time period.

Thanks, Charley.  I still have my BMW tool (in original grey bag) with added tools under my Cali seat!
