These are very enjoyable bikes as attested by reports from me and a few others owners on WG. Well, maybe one other owner that I know about, Nick.  The NF is very rare in North America since they were never officially imported here.

This militare model looks nice and has been tarted up with new paint.

nice bike,
makes you wonder about the "never been dropped "claim.
written off army bikes usually have been dropped a lot.....

I've been studying up on Nuovo Falcones for some years ... and it turns out that a LOT of the Army and the various Police bikes were hardly ever used.   The Nuovo Falcone was marginally obsolete in the 1970s, but the government still had a soft spot in it's heart (whatever that means) for home-market, traditional bikes.

Outfits elsewhere in the UK and in Europe like North Leicester Motorcycles have contacts in Italy, and sometimes an old army or police warehouse will turn up dozens of bikes that were bought but never really put into service.

So (although they still need age and storage-damage related work), it's not necessarily true that they have been hammered by trainee cops and squaddies until they're worn out when you get them .....

I would love a NF bike I can't get excited about the military model now that I've seen Leafman's Civille
Chad (Shadrach) in Asheville NC
1979 LeMans CX-100 (battle axe)
2007 Breva 1100 (Sport 1200 tribute)

actually moto guzzi had to take the old bikes back when they sold new ones to the government.
they were sitting on huge warehouses full of obsolete bikes.
those were sold by the truckload in europe.
(literally by the truck load , they were considered scrap , so some were piled into trucks )

i've been runninng falcones for 15 years,
a friend of mine bought one with less than 100 km on the odo, turned out the gearbox was stuck , needing a engine strip.

Heck, that still happens with NEW Moto Guzzis, apparently .... the leopard doesn't change his spots, not even after 94 years ..... !
