lemon 1000 tire thoughts?
« on: February 11, 2015, 06:24:20 PM »
Love my 85 lemon, yes I like the ssmall front tire too.
I have run through another set of metzler laserteks which have  been fine, about 5k or so. Question for you cognoscenti (italian roughly for suspender wearer) would you recommend?

Stickier or? Wear has been acceptable on the Metz. Wondering if I could   .  Something that would improve stickiness and road feel. The metz feel dead.
I sport tour, and ride alot in summer ( ie 115f) and the rest of our year (70). Yup,,, nice temps.
thanks !

I prefer the Lazers over the Bt's, but hey, the difference is negligible.

I'd love me some Sport Demons if they were available in Oz  :'(

The Shinko I have on the back of mine  is as good as the BT45's for sticky.  Not as good as the Pirelli's though.

I liked the Avon Roadrider on the rear with the metzler in front on my 87 Mk IV. The profile of the roadrider dramatically improved handling in tight twisties but even then it's not a great bike for that type of road. As another owner once said of the MKIV, it's a great bike over 40MPH.

Put a set of Michelin Pilot Activs on my Lemans 1000 w 16in front wheel last summer and love em for my riding style.  Have demons and BT45`s on other Guzzis,  they work great as well.  I`ll return to these Michelins when I wear these out.
