2013 V7 Special and OEM windshield issues

Howdy,

Looked through some of the threads, but didn't find my answer.  I used to ride a 2007 Norge and was quite used to using my bluetooth communicator with it and modular helmet.  I downsized to the V7 Special with an OEM windshield and a new Schuberth helmet.  I couldn't figure out why I couldn't hear anyone (I have always used ear plugs) until I decided to ride without the ear plugs one day.  It sounded like I was in a Hollywood wind machine and it became immediately obvious why I couldn't hear my radio, phone calls or communication with riding buddies.  Anyone have an idea of a fix (besides not trying to hear my communicator)?  I have looked at this product on line, but don't really know if it will take care of this issue: http://www.twistedthrottle.com/mra-x-creen-add-on-variable-windscreen-spoiler-blade-bolt-on-10848.

I tried that on my Stelvio...hated it.  Others seem to think it's great.  I guess it's just a matter of exactly how your head placement is relative to the windscreen and air flow.  FWIW, I had a new windscreen made by Gustoffson in FL.  The new screen is 2" taller and I like it much better.  It's still not super quiet but I have much more weather protection.

The OEM  screen on the V7 puts the wind right at the visor. I ended up removing it. A chap I know cut his down a lot closer to the instruments so that the wind hits lower down & he was happy with that.

I have an adjustable MRA screen added to my Honda Transalp and I think it's great. Other people prefer no screen, or shorter screens, it depends on lots of factors, your height, your helmet, if you wear earplugs, etc etc

I have an V7 classic with the OEM screen and have this fitted to it

its not very big, but very adjustable, and you can different bits of perspex/screen into it, as its just a regular allen key clamp.
