Nice tail!
We get a pod or two of several whales that show up off our island at certain times of the year and often get followed about by whale watcher tourist boats. (Bright orange boats)
The whales will actually herd salmon to make feeding easier, by making a lot of noise with their tails smacking the water or by lifting out of the water and then landing on their sides. Clever!
When the pods pass by within 1/4 mile, their breathing is loud and quiet audible anywhere near the shoreline ..... noisy creatures! :-*
I haven't but has anybody in a boat, ever hear them sing?
