I'm thinking that's not a bad price. Every bike I buy I have to go through anyhow. This one needs cosmetic help. No biggie.

Hacked frame ought to knock a grand off of his price right off the bat.  Unless he has all the OEM bodywork, there's no fairing, no instrument pod, no sidecovers, no lowers, chopped front fender, no rear fender.  But it might just be what someone wants. 

Cool rod, but if I were looking for a CX I'd rather go for an intact rough one. 

I never cared for the sound of Bub Conti Replicas on a Guzzi either.  To my ears too much like a garbage truck with a cracked exhaust manifold.
