G5 Brake Pad Part Numbers
« on: March 25, 2015, 12:31:07 PM »
I'm looking to replace the brake pads on my '81 G5. The parts manual is showing different part numbers, so I want to be sure I order the correct ones.

Here is my confusion:

Front Right (dx) Part: 14654601 (this is the one that is only on the front brake line circuit)

Front Left (sx) Part: 14654650  (this is the one that is also connected to the rear brake line circuit)

Rear Part Number: 14654601

According to those part numbers, the rear and the front (solo circuit) have the same part number, but the left front is different.

Is this correct? Are they not all the same? Not even the front right and left?

Any clarification on this would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Guzzi might have used slightly different compounds on the pads depending on position. I don't think anyone does that now - I certainly don't. I usually just install EBC FA18HH in all three calipers and call it good.

Ok, that makes sense. I just looked these up... Made in Ohio, they must be good!
