Install, 06 Breva 1100 Helibars
« on: April 01, 2015, 10:02:41 AM »
I am trying to fit a set of Helibars to my 06 B1100 and the throttle side controls need to come back around 2 1/2 inches to insert in the bar. I have tried to pull them and loosened everything I can see but they will not pull out anymore. I previously owned an 07 that I fitted a set on and had no problem.

I did a search and came up with only that you had to be creative but no explanation on their creativity.

You will need to mount the controls on the Helibars first and then mount the Helibars to top clamp.

I will try it that way directly, directions state to mount the bars first but your comment stirred my memory and I believe I did do it that way a few years ago my 07, also had to cut the zip ties holding the cables together to get them to stretch, thanks.
