LeMans 3 - wiring confirmation please
«

Pulling the LeMans out of its winter slumber and did some rerouting of the battery cables and the like. Just looking to confirm that I put the correct wires back on the terminals of the starter solenoid and the xmission itself. The solenoid should have a red wire going to it and the xmission has more of a purple one, right? Yes, you'd think after owning this bike for almost 25 years I'd know this, but I'm letting my anticipation of going riding get the better of me. ::) Thanks!

Mine has red on solenoid and purple to trans. Ran when I parked it. ;D

Thanks. That's what I figured, just wanted to confirm it. Went to start the darn thing and now I've got gas pouring out of both carbs. Ran fine when I parked it last fall. I'm blaming the ethanol we have and going from there.

Vince,
In this era of smart phones, take photos, lots of photos BEFORE pulling stuff apart, makes refitting correctly a lot easier.
Cheers
