Ft Worth Eurosport.   Huh.

First, I'll say that Coca Cola Cali absolutely stunning.  I hope they do get $20k for it.   ;D

2nd, I've been to their shop.  They had a bunch of cafe'd out Bonnevilles in their store with no price tags.  I was afraid to ask.  Now I can see that fear was justified.

WTF?

You'd think anyone with the ability to pay $20k for a used bike would know better.

That's why they call it a "collector" bike.   They'll have it forever in their "collection"!

Have a friend with a dressed out '55 Chevy. It has a 'for sale' sign 'frosted' onto the rear passenger window.

Have a friend with a dressed out '55 Chevy. It has a 'for sale' sign 'frosted' onto the rear passenger window.

That sort of thing is one of the great motoring mysteries in my life.

Like this, for example:

http://www.sellmyride.com/ads/1939-Chevrolet-Hot-Rod/1775/

I mean, there's thousands of these "street rods" for sale.   I discount the fact that I think it's ugly, silly looking, probably only marginally functional as transportation, and a shame to use pieces of a neat old car to build something that 100,000 other people have built and that you can see rows and rows of at any big show like Charlotte or Hershey.   Each to his own, I guess.

But what amazes me is that they trade for anywhere from $50K to $100K each!    Someone is going to pay that for SOMEONE ELSE'S dream of what a "Custom Car" should look like, with someone else's flames and mermaids and shag interior?   For this car ... $60K is real money, mon!   And that's not going on a credit card either, so you can't blame "credit card debt" for these things.    I could understand it if they were $5,000 each or something, but the prices for these things is incredible to me ...

In that context, $20K for the Guzzi above isn't so unreasonable ....
