Two really sharp Triumphs
« on: April 25, 2015, 04:04:08 PM »
I was at the trumpet dealer today and spied these two really sharp Thruxtons. Here is an article on the ACE.

The other model was the Newchurch Thruxton.  In Cranberry Red and White it is a beautiful bike.  Very tempting.

Fit and finish was very good.  Strong competition to the V7.

If you wish to know what a man is, place in him authority.
False accusations reflect more on the accuser than the accused.
They can take everything from you, including your life, except your honor and integrity.  That you must give away.
Do or don't do. There is no try.

I like the ACE.

Saw this custom STR or Speedy? at my dealer last weekend while doing first maintenance.  Stunning bike: amazing design.

Love the tank:

Not sure of story on bike.  I may ask them.  Seen some amazing custom Triumphs floating around Houston.

I can only imagine what a quick stop on a slick seat would do to a guy.

Aha, a speedy.  Yes, I noticed the lethal custom tank and it made me wince.

I added tank side pads to the STRX to help protect "the boys".  I grip with my knees a lot.

Heck of a custom paint job though.  Makes me want to get a Union Jack for my bike, but I am Scottish by descent from my grandfather Charles Stewart, so better yet a blue and white cross of St. Andrew.  Yep, gonna find a sticker to honor my mom's father.  He stepped off the boat in NYC around 1901, emigrated from Glasgow, and he worked in the ship yards, then moved to Denver, CO due to tuberculosis, and died there in 1929 when my mom was 8 years old.

Those fake carb throttle bodies on the Bonnie crack me up.

Just plain silly.
