quick eldo lights question for those in the know

correct me where I'm wrong

rear light is supposed to be on all the time?

the small pilot bulb in the headlight is a parking light only and comes on if the key is turned left, but not while running?

this is how the bike came to me....

The pilot in the headlamp and the tail light should come on with the light switch in the center position with the key in either the park or run position. But if your bike has been modified then there is no telling! Does your bike still have the original type switches for the lights and ignition? Check out Greg Bender's site ThisOldTractor and look for the wiring diagrams for loop frames.
As long as the lights are on while you're riding you will be safe.

thanks original CEV switchgear, no pilot light in central position just head lights... no big deal

Tail lights on one click and thereafter, parking light on in park.

1-- off
2-- ign & running lights
3--ign , running lights, head lights
