$3199.00. Not terrible considering it's a dealer. Doubt there are a lot of people beating their door down to get it. I was hoping to hear from someone that may have had experience with the dealer or that knew the bike.
Of course all comments about the breva 750 In general are welcome

If that's the one I saw there on Saturday, and I think it is, it looks much rougher in person.  At least to me.  Ask for pictures taken in better light; the shade does the bike a big favor, in my opinion.  Please bear in mind I know nothing about the Breva, or any Guzzi really; I just make a point to look at everything.  That place does the business, it's hopping every time we've been.  A buddy traded in his Shadow for a used V-Strom several years ago, straightforward with no problems.

Off topic, but since we're talking about Sloan's and bike-looking, let me tell you that Indian Scout in Red is a sight, much better in person than in pictures.  I have no interest in a bike that heavy or with cruiser styling, but the paint on that thing looked good enough to eat.  You all go see one if you get a chance.

I'm like Sarah, I think the pictures don't tell the real story. Look at the bottom of the front forks in the picture, it appears the paint is chipping off pretty badly. There is not much demand for those bikes. Go look at it in person, you may walk away with it for less money.

The dealer is a large dealer (in my opinion). They sell about everything. The last time we were there they were making room for the Indians and down sizing the Guzzis,,grrr. I like both. The wife is looking forward to taking the Scout a test ride and most likely trading her Breva in on one.

I go to Sloan's frequently and think they are a stand up dealer and would trust them. They are a third generation dealer and enjoy a good reputation. I was told by a salesman they sale about 12 Guzzis a year, I think he said they had already sold about 35 Scouts and cannot get them fast enough so I guess the Guzzi has to take a backseat to them. I think they are like a lot of dealers in that that bread and butter is side by sides and four wheelers.

I've a 2007 Breva 750 which I picked up a couple of months ago for $2,900.  The bike had about 3,500 miles at the time and was cosmetically excellent...black and to my taste, very pretty. I also own, as you do, a 2010 NT 700V. 

The Honda is my touring bike - Quite comfortable for the long haul and reliable - its a Honda after all, even if it is made in Spain by Montessa.  Unlike the Breva, the 670 cc Honda V-twin engine is water cooled with a single overhead cam actuating four vales per cylinder.  The Breva is an air cooled, push rod, two valve per cylinder engine, and much less sophisticated.  The Honda may put out more hp but relies on revs to do it.  I think the bikes are pretty evenly matched in terms of useable power.

The bikes diverge in several significant areas.  The Breva engine is smoother, the suspension is better, and the Breva is infinately easier to work on than is the Honda. The Breva is lighter too, measurably easier to push around my basement. The Breva handles better and to my mind is a delight. 

Of course the bikes have a different purpose.  The Honda is a relatively light weight tourer while the Breva is more of an around town or pleasant Sunday afternoon bike. 

The real difference in the two is that every time I go out on the Breva, someone compliments the bike or at least gives me a thumbs up.  In three years and many thousands of miles no one has ever complimented the Honda.  I like both my bikes, but the Breva is a motorcycle - the Honda is an appliance.

I have a RED Breva (the fast colour) ;)

Love the bike. The box has given a few problems  (quality control issues really) but I could not bring myself to get rid of it.  I find it to be the most perfect bike for all occasions.  Sweet around town,  a delight in the hills,  and I have found it to be a most excellent tourer.  I am in the minority on this board with only one bike;  I find the Breva is the "one bike fits all purposes" machine.  With a sheepskin on the seat it is also extremely comfortable.

i appreciate the direct comparison to the NT700V. i was concerned about the power when looking at the specs and had concluded that the performance should be about the same as the NT with the weight difference (40hp/400lbs vs 50hp/550lbs). thanks for confirming that. i had been lusting after a new norge but don't really care for bikes that large and heavy. i've settled on the Breva as the right combination of looks,size and performance. nice to hear the positive reviews.
