Not exactly a cruiser, ADV but perhaps a great ST if you have the funds to keep it running.

A few years ago I'd have bought this. Glarish colors but I bet its a fast ship.

They're asking about 2 grand too much, it's been up for sale over the past few years I think. Isn't being ridden though, same 400 miles since the new stator.

IIRC, when ridden hard they had about 100mi range.  Sucked fuel when under boost.  Supposedly the 650 was better than the 550 cause they reduced the number of inputs to the computer.

But, it was my dream bike for a long time.  I do love turbos  :)

A local shop - Moto Motivo - created this from the CX500.  Johann has a Guzzi project in the works, I think.

Looks mean but I don't think it would be high on my list as a long distance tourer.

Monoshock frame makes me think of the Ippo Griffo

82 was the last year for the 500 and they bumped it to 650 for 83. That was the last year for the CX series.
Rugged little bikes, a favorite for couriers. A friend (RIP got killed on his) had a 500 Custom. 6 grand at 60 it was pretty busy at highway speeds.

Always seemed like an engineering exercise or an unfortunately mis-guided/timed attempt at extreme usability and utilitarianism...  but I dug the concept.

Pushrods to sidestep high cam issues.
E ignition separate from everything else... real easy to push start and get home even if everything else was TU.
Canted, off plane heads to get the pipes in the wind and the intake away from the knees.
Water cooling to stabilize performance and fine tune tuning.
Electric start only.
Understressed shaft drive.

Damn good bikes.

I had/had long term use of a Silver Wing (GL) while a pal had a 650Turbo. I always thought that turbo motor in the GL with it's gearing woulda been a sweet ride.

Funny days those, on my team, I had a Kawi Turbo, another had the Honda and still another had a Turbo-Seca... in the end, I really wanted an XN(?)85 but got over it when I bought my 82 Katana... got waaay over it!

Civilization ends at the waterline. Beyond that, we all enter the food chain, and not always right at the top.

And, the clutch rotated the opposite way from the crank.
