Throttle cable adjustment Thomaselli Daytona 2c with Dellorto VHB 29

I have been trying to find information on how to adjust the cables after you install new cables for a Thomaselli Dayton2 /Dellorto VHB 29 set-up.
Each carb has it's own cable.
There are adjustments at the top of the carbs and at the throttle.
How do I adjust these?
Which one do I adjust first?
I have looked for a couple hours on the "net" and can not find a beginners explanation of this.
This will be my first time replacing and adjusting these cables .
Thank-you....Alan

I had this setup before I moved on to 36 MM carbs. The adjusters on the tops of the carbs are easier to reach and lock down but have minimal travel. I used to screw those down almost all the way as a start. The next step would be to use the adjusters on the cable tops to get as close as possible to a balance (slides lifting simultaneously) then go back to the carb tops for fine tuning. There should be a very small and even amount of slack at the carb tops. If it is too tight the idle will rise when you move the bars at a stop. Too loose and the throttle will need to rotate a bit before you get going.
I assume you have seen this but if you have no vacuum ports on your intakes you will have to synch them as best you can:

You may find that the cables stretch a bit so you may have to go back and synch again once you have some miles on the bike. If your cables are routed smoothly you can put lighter-than-stock springs in your 29's so your forearms don't look like Popeye post workout.

Thanks guzziownr,
I never thought about the cable stretching on a carb cable.
I'll keep an eye out for that.
I've tried to find the lighter springs, but ,have had no luck....Alan
