..... and your whole damn message goes into lala land.

I'm going to try one more time, though now I'm not in as good a mood as I was on rev1.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today started off with the sun coming thru the bedroom windows no later than 7am.  Took a look at the weather forecast, and found myself at McDonalds at 8am, and by noon I was at my favorite BMW dealer in New Philadelphia, Ohio.  Looked at a couple of R1200GS Adventure bikes and decided 'way to big for me.'  Sat on an R9T and thought that it is much like my Griso, and said to myself 'meh.'

Took some very nice county roads to West Lafayette, Ohio, then made the decision to continue south, on SR93.  Worked my way over to Dresden, Ohio ..... very close to where the "Plain and Casual" rally takes place, and headed north and homeward.  Of course, I couldn't leave West Lafayette without stopping at the wonderful hot dog stand for a dog and onion rings.  Nothing like sitting outside enjoying health food!

Rode more excellent Ohio roads to Dresden, Ohio, where I decided to head north to home.  Again more of Ohio's super two lane roads, some thru flat country, others that ran under an umbrella of tree branches.  And not so flat ..... several rolling hills involved.

I hate winter here, but spring and summer, and early fall, make up for most of that.  Today's 292 miles made up for all of last winter.

Thank you, NE Ohio!  You're what motorcycling is all about to me.  Oh, and thank you to the 1200 Sport that made this ride so enjoyable.

Sounds like you had a GREAT time.  Too damned hot to ride around here right now.  We're in the middle of an extended heat wave and it's keeping me in the air conditioning.  Glad to hear that you got your "fix" today.
Enjoy!

If a message board doesn't have a save draft feature in the editor, I occasionally copy and paste to a temporary file if the message is big, so if something goes wrong I can copy and paste it back and pick up where I left off.

I love coming to rallies in NE Ohio.   The roads are so different from the ones at home.   VIOLENT changes of direction, and dropoffs followed by blind turns, with not much signage to say it's coming.   You really have to be on your toes.

But at the end of a ride, I find that I ALWAYS really enjoyed it.   Great part of the country to ride in!

..... and your whole damn message goes into lala land.

Next time it happens, immediately hit Ctrl+Z.  This undo feature will normally bring back the original message.  I usually manage to get into this predicament by inadvertently selecting Ctrl+A (select all) and then any key which replaces the whole message.

Good suggestion, Dave.  I use that once in a while myself, but didn't think of it to recover if the whole thing gets deleted.
