cali EV mods , too lean ? advice ....please
« on: June 28, 2015, 05:40:51 PM »
Hi All
I almost finish my 98 cali ev.
Put k&n air pod ( trashed the whole air box ) stucchi cross over and lafranc competizione .

I was wondering if anyone ever done similar mods ? I am a bit worried that the engine may be a little too lean ?
If so , how do i correct that ?
Bike got stock computer . P8

any help highly appreciated.

Thanks
Marco

Ah forgot to ask : i trashed all the canisters etc.... i see the intake manifolds have a breathing hose , what should i do with those ?
tie the end of the hose somewhere , or close take out the hose and close the hole ?

the computer has a mixture adjustment screw on it.

does the bike backfire or do the plugs burned?

The manual says that adjustment screw only has an effect up to 2000 rpm but I feel that it changes it through a much wider range. If you make an adjustment and go for a ride you can tell that an adjustment has been made at RPM's higher than idle speeds.

You could connect one to the other or cap them off.
