Griso Pinko stolen!
« on: July 13, 2015, 09:29:33 PM »
How stupid can you be?

My old Griso now owned by Greg Field in Seattle has been stolen from out the back of Greg's place!

I mean it's a salvage titled shitter with the early A5 motor so it sounds like cheese graters fornicating in an iron tank it's eight years old and probably has a street value slightly above a bucket of cold dog turds.

Stealing it from Greg's place was doubly unwise! I'm surprised he didn't get a round from one of Greg's flintlocks up his chuff!

Anyway, if anybody sees or hears of a load of red Griso bits being hawked on the bay of fleas or Craigslist or whatever, especially in the North West, can you let the wallopers know.

Thanks.

Pete

I predict it will turn up, a bit worse for wear, and abandoned.

How does one steal a Griso?  I was a Concrete Construction laborer for more than a decade so I'm used to lifting heavy odd shaped objects and pushing concrete wheel barrels in dirt but when I pushed my Griso uphill someone didn't read the trip odo right twenty yards I had to stop for "air".

It would take more than one skinny teen, 6-8 might be enough.

They were determined. The fork was locked, it was chained to a  fence, and the battery was removed for charging. They must've had enough guys to pick it up and throw it into the back of a truck. If anyone hears anything, let me know.

sorry to hear it.

Not sure if it feels worse to get ripped off by a pro or an idiot- you're out just the same.  Hopefully your homeowner's will cover it.

best of luck to get your wheels

Easy to roll the bike away, even with locked fork, disc lock, etc.  It just takes two guys and two skateboards.

Battery angle grinder and cutoff wheel makes a quick 10 seconds work of that unfortunately.

Liquid nitrogen and a hammer. Sorry for you. I had a childhood friend who stole from me. We have not conversed in 45 years.

What will the insurance pay towards the theft?  I would not want to be sneaking around Greg's place trying to steal something, or my place for that matter. Lead is cheap
