Cosmetic issue with Bagster on 1200 Sport

This is a minor issue. I recall some of you B11, 12S, and perhaps Norge owners use the Bagster tank cover/bag system. Mine works very nicely, aside from the fact that no amount of pulling and tugging on the tank cover will align the clear plastic windows with the lovely red and gold Guzzi tank emblems. Is this just my cover, or is this typical?

Mine did the same thing on my Breva 1100. I'm now using Givi Tanklock tank bags on it.

My guess is that this may have something to do with the tank expanding over time. I know mine has. In order to get the rear fastening bolt to line up, I need to use a ratchet strap to compress the tank.

The windows on mine have never matched up, I've had it on their almost since new so I don't think it is a tank expansion thing.
It drives me a little crazy if I let it, so I just sort of ignore it.
I get a lot of comments on my "leather" tank cover.
