Great product! Good maps for following small roads and still being able to see the big picture. Trout streams, trails, campgrounds, bike routes, etc etc

When I go there I see no mention of the sale, and when I select a few, the "shopping cart" shows no discount.

Actually, while I do like that product and have several, I do wish those atlases were a tad bit smaller as they do not fit easily into any of my Guzzi luggage.  I do enjoy using them to figure out later where I've been.

BTW they fit perfectly on top of the stuff jammed in the guzzi trunk from my convert so I'm sure it'll fit on top of the junk in my Norge trunk.

Well, I tried to order 4 gazetteers (Md., W.V., Penn., & Ky.) using discount code 10149.

I provided my home address, i.e., the same address I use for all purposes, but got this error message:

"The city, state, and zip code combination is incorrect. Please correct them."   

Kinda funny really from a mapping company.   

Anyway, sent an inquiry; we shall see.

OTOH, why the USPS sees fit to say we are in Winchester is baffling.

We are the last mailbox 12 miles out U.S. 522 in the 22603 zip code and are really in Cross Junction.  Pretty clear from the zip code maps that some sort of odd postal gerrymandering happened.  Hard to figure why.

I think that different versions of mapping software are in control.   You'd think that anyone who had an address would have only ONE address - that, for example, when I lived in Lone Tree, Colorado, that I would be on file at the Lone Tree Post Office and nowhere else.

But no.   People I'd never seen or heard of before, INCLUDING the local tax offices, post offices, toll road authorities, etc would send (or try to send) me stuff at my street address, but put Lone Tree, Englewood, Littleton, or Denver as the post office.   Sometimes it would get there, sometimes not.

I had some trouble with the on line ordering too, so in true luddite fashion, I called. Still works like a charm. Even talked to a dude that's familiar with Moto Guzzi and getting lost in the boondocks on a bike on purpose.

Nothing like talking with a competent CSR, and I just did -- order's on its way, and at sale price -- but it was after hours when I placed my order originally, so, color me a lawyer  , but I like email audit trails if it might become "he said; she said."

Again, thanks for the heads up on that sale.  Kathi will roll her eyes when I fall asleep much of next week looking at topo maps.

Glad I was able to help some of the Guzzi brotherhood out! I'm not much on tech advice, only my 'sperience with my old bike and any wisecracks I can come up with. I like staring at maps too, can't wait to hit some obscure Arkansas back roads.

I suspect they're trying to clear out literal warehouses of these paper maps. I've got their maps for Minnesota and the surrounding states, and am not impressed- The maps are often out of date. In states where there's been a lot of development, like Florida, the maps seem to reflect the state in the 1980s. The upside of this is that they're good for finding abandoned railroad lines, etc.!

As for out of date, maybe, too.

Still, "out of date" is pretty irrelevant for most of the rural Appalachian back roads I travel, so I don't mind, and I really like the topo and scale.  Besides, I usually don't carry the atlases with me on (two-wheeled) trips, and  I update my TomTom regularly, so any on-the-road changes aren't (too) big surprises.

For me, the atlases are just a pleasure to wander through before and after a big ride.

As you know, that's part of the charm of riding, and maybe even especially Guzzis and other "brown egg" marques.   

We are all different and there is a time for solitude, but I enjoy the banter with others along the ride as (almost) as much as the ride itself. 

And, as I am often lost -- even with planning, paper maps, and GPS  -- I have many opportunities to chat with locals ... assuming I am lost where there even are any!
