Guzzi sighting in Prescott AZ

While on my little weekend jaunt (see https://spotwalla.com/tripViewer.php?id=eced55f85470e786d. set to 3 days to view), I saw a white Norge going the other way, just on the west side of Prescott. I was on my silver 2008, so the Fates must have looked over their shoulders and said "Hunh?" as the universe shuddered to see two Norges and not a NAR in sight...

About three weeks ago, I was in Prescott on my Red V11 LeMans. Saw a Green V11 Sport entering town as I was leaving. We exchanged an enthusiastic air-fist-bump greeting across the intersection.

Such nice riding around there. Flagstaff to Wickenburg, via Sedona, Jerome, and the twistiest roads I could find. My daughter is going to school at NAU.

Back in May, we had a really nice ride from Scottsdale to Wickenburg to Prescott and on up to Jerome and Sedona/Grand Canyon.  89 north out of Sedona along the river up to Flagstaff is a beautiful ride!  As we pulled into Prescott, we stopped to chat with (Mark?) the guy who owns the Ural shop right there a block or two before the square as he was out getting prepped for Overland Expo just a few days away, quite a few nice Urals sitting out for viewing pleasure.   Great riding all around there!

Carl Allison lives in Payson, I'm pretty sure he has a white Norge.  Been a while since I saw him though....

Isn't Jim Knapp still working on Guzzis in Prescott?

He is about a mile from the town square, selling GasGas bikes and other things.  At least, he WAS.

The last Norge I saw on the road in Prescott just happened to be Carl. But I think he has had to give up motorcycles (sold the Norge a while back) do some health issues (bad luck and aging  ). I have not seen him in over a year. Last I heard the side car rig was for sale.

  He had a side car rigged to a Norge?  Was that custom built or did he use one of the Ural offerings?  Curious to see pics of a Norge with a side car!

Not quite. I believe he has had the sidecar rig for over 20 years. The Norge is a lot younger than that.

The Prescott shop is still listed on the MG US website, but I didn't stop by since it was Sunday (and a bit out of my way). It's in a rather old building the hillside, south of the town square.

Norge was stock. Then he had a V7 in lime green, traded that for a Racer. Shortly after that he picked up a side car rig powered by a California. He has a Frankenguzzi V11, not sure if he still has that.

Carl quit riding any MCs a few years ago.  He has some kind of physical issue that stops him from riding no matter how he tries.  Towards the end of his MC life he bought a hack from MPH in Houston and rode it all the way to Payson.  That didn't work out so he's into his musical (guitar) side now.

  Do you mean Todd's Blue rig with the side car?  That was sitting in MPH for quite a while...I presume someone bought it at some point.  Can't remember what model motorcycle it was though.
