A 485km (300mi) lazy day on the V7-II
« on: September 28, 2015, 06:21:49 PM »
With a long weekend and a taste of the summer to come, I hit the road yesterday for a tour of the area east & north of home.
Great day out. The bike loved it as much as me.
We even found another (very pretty) V7-II in parked in Yass!

Since my last 'rant' was too long for some, I'll let the pictures do the talking.

He had the Special kitted out with Givi screen & top box for the ride up from Melbourne (where he'd just bought it).
He and his wife were on it enjoying the beautiful spring day.
They were as suprised as me to find another V7 rolling through town.
Cheers

I love the run to We Jasper, Jude and I did it on Friday in the Jimny and went on to Tumut.

The back road from Cotter is great. It has about 7kn of good dirt, (Jude and I do it on the Mana regularly and I often take the Green Horror up that way.) but the road after the dirt is ideal for a V7 or a Mana, single and dual lane with views back to to Stromlo observatory and the Telstra Tower. At this time of year it's stunning. From Wee Jasper to Tumut? Well, I've ridden worse dirt on bikes like a V7 but I'd say it wouldn't be ideal.

Your not wrong. From Uriarra Crossing to Wee Jasper and back to Yass was the best bit.

I've never done the road(s) to Tumut - neither via Wee Jasper nor via Brindebella - but I have often looked at the map and thought "one day".
