Canon Powershot S200 - anyone want free accessories
« on: October 07, 2015, 06:57:01 AM »
I know this is a longshot, but figured I'd give it a try.

It is with sadness that I have recently discovered that our nearly decade and a half old Canon PowerShot S200 digital camera is deceased.

Before I assign it and its accessories to the electronics recycling bin. Is there anyone here who actually has one of these (or knows someone who does) and could use the following:

1. Battery Charger
2. 2 spare Lithium Ion Batteries (1 kinda old, 1 newish)
3. Dive case (even if you're not into scuba this can be handy around a boat, or pool or anywhere that's wet).

All free to good home, buy me a beer for shipping anywhere US flatrate boxes will go.

Kev

This is the older ELPH S200, and not the current S200, right?  I classic steel box.  Nice camera.

Canon tends to use the same handful of different battery sizes through the years on their new cameras, so you might want to at least hang on to those just in case your next Canon uses the same size.

Yup, the older ELPH.

It was a workhorse camera for us for years (before our phones became better overall cameras).

I hear ya on the batteries. But I don't see me replacing it anytime soon. I've also still got a G2 that I still use for work and it's a completely different battery pack.

I have that camera, thanks for the offer but have the dive box too. It's become a back-up camera to a similar Canon. I guess dropping it with the lens out can do them in, though mine only makes a slight grinding noise as a result.
