Just got back from a trip from Texas to Colorado on my 2004 California EV.. 3 out of the 4 rubber turn signal stalks broke off and I had to tape them in place.. I have been trying to remove them to put on new ones; but when I turn the allen head screw that mounts the signal to the taillight housing they just "spin"... Am I going to have to remove the taillight lens to get to a nut on the inside; or am I going to have to remove the rear wheel to remove the taillight housing to get to a nut on the inside?
I got the broken stalk off the headlight housing; but am afraid to pull to hard on the wire connecting it... Do I need to remove the headlight from the housing to disconnect the wire inside the headlight bucket? Thanks...
Maybe the backing nuts are in the oil pan with the oil filter....:)
