V7II Scrambler - first ride!
« on: October 17, 2015, 05:31:18 AM »
Just picked up my new V7II with some of the scrambler accessories on it. Suspension will be next. Reluctantly
traded in my 2008 Griso 8v, which I adored, but think this was the right move. Just a short 50k today, but tomorrow will be over 300k. Pumped!

Looking forward to the ride report.  Big power change from a Griso.  Another argument for multiple bikes.

I do like that! Congratulations!
Riding in Japan must be pretty special. What's the dealer situation like there?

Yes, I'm interested in the "motorcycle scene" in Japan too.  What's it like?  Any outlaw clubs?  Or even pretenders?

I'll try to get back to you guys about riding in Japan in a day or two,,, can't now as I'm off early tomorrow morning to the "Kyushu Moto Guzzi & Magni Rally" (7th annual). We expect about 50 Guzzi including about a dozen Magni. Will post photos too - back soon...

All the accessories on my bike are from the Moto Guzzi catalogue:
http://www.garagemotoguzzi.com/en/kit/scrambler/
including the tires.

Only had a 50 k ride today, but half that was on a highway and the rest low roads and a bit of gravel - so far VERY good! Will report back more in a day or two.

Nick,

Now that is cool.  Ride safe.  Looks like an old volcano in the background?
