Distractions, a day in the life of an ADD mechanic SGC
« on: October 27, 2015, 08:30:54 PM »
So, I had a nice weekend, rode with my son to a friend's cabin in northern Indiana, nice steak dinner Saturday night and a beautiful fall day Sunday for a ride. Got some business stuff done and honey do items on Monday and was ready to jump back on the V7 Sport restoration. But, a client dropped this off on Saturday morning and asked me to see why it wouldn't start and why the lights weren't working...

Now it is late in the season but, his reasoning is sound, find out if it's anything serious so, it can be taken care of over the winter.
Well, loose wires on the ignition switch and clean the plugs and she fired right up, the headlight bulb is burned out so, I'll hunt that down.
I did get a chance to drive it around the neighborhood behind the shop. This is a sweet 80 year old bike.

Tomorrow, back to the grind stone, or wet sanding, whatever...

Rear turned out good, let's hope the front one does too...

That's pretty, thanks for sharing.
That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.
