2003 1100 Cali Handlebar Question
« on: November 07, 2015, 01:40:31 PM »
I found a handlebar clamp, riser that I'd like to put on my 2004 V11 Cafe Sport, as I'd like to mount 7/8 handlebars on it (currently has the 1 1/8" fat bars).
Does anybody know the center to center spacing on the triple clamp mounting bolts? I'm hoping it will be a direct bolt on. Option 2 would be to buy or make spacers, but I'd rather not go that route.

Thanks!
Ken

Ken:  I believe the bars you want to use are 7/8", not 3/4".  That being the case, you can use Jackal risers and clamp, as I do on my 2003 California Stone Touring model.  Harper's and others will be happy to provide a set.  You need buy only the risers and clamp.  The nuts, rubber spacers and metal cups all are interchangeable.  I never liked the OEM Stone or EV "Beach Bars" and converting to the Jackal clamps gives the rider a wide option of bars to use.  You know, I'm sure, that all the switches and controls are 7/8" i.d on the fat bars of those Stones and EVs, just the ends of the bars are reduced to 7/8" to accomplish that.  It's a very easy conversion with which I am very satisfied.

Thanks Ralph! Yes, I did mean 7/8" instead of 3/4", of which I have changed in the original post. My fingers must've been drunk when I typed that.
