Cal II fender paint removal
« on: December 03, 2015, 04:17:51 PM »
I Want to remove the paint on Mary's Cal II fenders. What would be the best way to remove paint without mucking up the chrome? I want to make them look like my Eldo fenders. Thanks for any ideas. Andy

Don't mess with it.  Under the paint the chrome is ugly .  The edges are the only part of the fender that is /was polished

I would have loved to be at the meeting where it was decided to chrome the front fender.

" Okay, and next on the agenda is ECR 1970. This changes the front fender from painted to chromed. Yes, just the front fender. Yes, that will cost us more than painting. "
