Santa do his job ?
« on: December 25, 2015, 08:33:14 PM »
So , how did Santa treat everyone ? Were you on the naughty list and got a lump of coal or on the nice list and got something fun or useful ?

A customer sent me a new Guzzi hat to replace one I lost. Gordon and Rick at MG Cycle gave me a nice metal box with an embossed V7 Special on the lid.

The box contained a very useful paperweight.

Santa brought me a GoPro, pretty keen, if I can figure out how to use it.  And a couple interesting books by Neil Gaiman.

Poodles gave me some chocolate.

I already have everything I need, we kept it pretty simple. Barb got to see her granddaughter for the 1st time in a couple of years and I got a snuggly maroon blanky I think I'll go cover up and have a brew. We're very fortunate.    js

Poodles gave me some chocolate.

Santa gave me Gaiman's "American Gods" last Christmas and I had to tell him I wasn't pleased.
He did well this year, brought me trappist beers, a bottle of champagne, dark chocolate and a sweater!

4 boxes of Cigars, a bottle of JW double black, tool box and GoPro

I have no idea how to use a GoPro.  Anyway, I am very thankful for all the love the gifts represent.

Well, it was two years ago that my wife conspired with Mike Haven to deliver me a
white Guzzi V7 Stone for a Christmas surprise.    Can't top that.

This year she got me a 26 gallon stand up air compressor.  Guess she got tired of hearing me cussing while I tried to seat the bead on a new tire with a stupid hand pump.

Betty gave me an interesting gift, a Wild Turkey ceramic decanter she found at a local antique shop.  The decanter looks cool, an old tree stump with two bear cubs growling at a big turkey on the ground.  When I shook it, it was full of liquid.  Turns out it was a still sealed 8 year old WT bottled in 1985.  This stuff had been in the decanter for 30 years and is quite tasty, as good or better than some of the special releases Turkey is selling now.  On Saturday I went to the antique shop and looked at others they had.  I bought 4 more that were full of 1984 - 86 WT and Eagle Rare for $30 a decanter.  It was a cheerful and maybe a bit of a red-nosed Christmas.   :boozing:

Some Gifrap rearsets from Stein Dinse in Germany which arrived in the post Christmas Eve! Tight timing or what?
I didn't know anyone made rearsets for small block Guzzis (I've been looking on and off for years) but then found these. Very nicely made.
