Given the sparcity of Moto Guzzi Dealers (closest one for me is 140 miles) & Piaggo's reluctance to have you be able to do even a simple reset of the maintenance icon, I embarked on a long & extensive search for a diagnostic tool. Most it seems address all other models of Moto Guizzi but not the 1400. However, I may have found an answer as just this morning I have been in contact with Techo Research (
http://www.pgnstudio.com/techno_temp/index.php?pid=40) and they assured me that their
Centurion-UE diagnostic machine will service the Moto Guzzi California 1400 series. The cost is $1,398. A bit steep for the individual, but.. as I said, most dealers are located far & few between, & factoring in just the cost of transporting your bike back & forth, as well as the down time… it might be something you want to look into. If you are interested, be sure to have the Model number of you ECU handy, as they will be asking for that information in ascertaining if the machine will fulfill your needs.
