Moto Guzzi uses a rubber damper with a threaded insert, called a 'silent block', in various places throughout the Griso. A couple of them are where the rear of the fuel tank attaches to the frame and mine have dried out over time with one shearing off even with the frame (the insert is still in the remaining rubber bumper, but the top 1/2" or so is gone so the tank doesn't sit square.
Does anyone have any experience trying to remove one of these dampers for replacement? Was hoping that I could raise the back of the fuel tank high enough to gain access of some sort without having to disconnect the fuel line, just not sure how to go about getting the remaining rubber out of the frame?
