Check out the video at the link. Sounds weird. Maybe on a mellow twin it would be more..... mellow?

I have no shifting in the works. Well, maybe an occasional shift into low range.

Honda has had it for years.  Called the dual clutch transmission (DCT).

Decades ago I saw a wonderful side car conversion of a Honda CB 450. The hack was blatantly ugly, all a square and with a ramp up the back and what is that...handlebars for the hack and none on the bike. It had been made for a paraplegic who would ride his chair into the hack and control the bike from there. The shift lever on the case had solenoids above and below and a set of buttons so that the rider could shift. Pretty cool stuff.
