Brembo brake longevity

Can anyone fill me in on how long the original brake pads would last on a Norge ? I keep a damn good record of what I replace as expendables and I can't recall putting in new front pads until recently, there's no record of replacement in my book. The Norge gas done 92,000 km and the pads are still 25% there, does that sound implausible ? I've put in new ones anyway 'cos it seemed like bad manners not to.

I have 24,000 miles on the B11 and the brake pads are at least half there still. I have replacements for whenever they actually wear out already, but it doesn't seem to be happening any time soon.

I never take my pads past 1/2 used up. My thinking is the thinner the pads get the more the pistons have to stick out of the caliper body. This exposes the shiney bits of the piston to corrosion.

:1:   And if you wear them down too far the pistons can cock in the bores and stick. Happened to me on the custom and kept the rear locked up. Rears will wear quicker than fronts with dual disks. I suppose some are harder on brakes than others. It's no wonder that 600 lb plus bikes eat tires and brakes for breakfast.

I run 'em till I hit bare metal  cause they're so blinkin expensive. (just kidding, I stop when there are no lines visible any more and the pad is one surface)

There was a time I had to replace them every 10k...

Maybe I did put in a set at some stage but I think I would have remembered paying for Brembos, and that's what these are.

I run mine to the bitter end.

My current set of sintered EBC pads seem to be lasting for ever. I think they have over 12k miles on them and are stilllloking fine (although more than half worn, I'd say).

For me the original pads were absolute crap, they caused a lot of pulsation.

I changed to EBC HH pads a number of years ago and have not thought about them since.

I don't use sintered, only organic. After a set of sintered, you can expect to change your rotors with your pads...

I have over 21k miles on my stock Griso pads.  They looked kind of thin soI took the calipers off and found I still have 50% left.  Looks like 40k miles is likely?

I think you are confusing iron rotors, with the stainless steel rotors on the Norge being discussed.
I've been through a lot of HH pads on my EV and Stelvio, and not worried about the rotors.

Yeah.  EBC HH pads on the OEM stainless rotors work well and last a long time.

The way I ride, I don't use a lot of brake in normal riding, so I get lots of miles out of a set of pads.
