Kinetic Playground gone?
« on: February 26, 2016, 12:47:03 AM »
Went into Brookside Motors today to get a parts for my Bonneville. They are the Tulsa Guzzi/Triumph/Zero/Piaggio dealer. I assumed that my parts would show up The Kinetic Playground, Brookside's partner who handled their service and warranty work. They have moved to Okmulgee.  I was shown to the new service area in the back of the dealership....

I am wondering if anyone has dealt with this new set up, and how they liked it. With interesting new models coming from both Triumph and Guzzi, service is more important than ever.

"December 13, 2015 · Tulsa, OK, United States ·
EXCITING NEWS! After over 35 years on "The Restless Ribbon" (Peoria ave), The Kinetic Playground will be relocating the business in early 2016 after shutting down at the end of December for the transition. We will be moving to Okmulgee Oklahoma just south of Tulsa on Highway 75 within Jandebuer's Motorsports Park facility. The new venue is a venture into more off-road motorcycle involvement than in previous years. Jandebuer's Motorsports Park is an off-road motorcycle park where new riders learn to ride and experienced riders learn to race for the first time or they are nurtured to professional level racer. Family friendly fun place with multiple tracks and training courses. Expansion underway. The Kinetic Playground will still service street and road race bikes by appointment. Thorough testing of your dirt bike occurs right out the shop door! We are excited to be involved with the Jandebuer family as they go back in Tulsa motorcycle history to 1959. The Kinetic Playground will be offering professional suspension service by TBT of Oklahoma. Thanks for your support for many years on Peoria.

The Kinetic Playground is now open at Jandebueur's Motorsports Park. Call for an appoinment 918-743-6552."

Hmm , Jandabuer's was the Triumph dealer in Tulsa in the 1960's , must be the same family . although there isn't any info re the old dealership . Since Tryg  left the Kinetic who knows what is going on with the shop . Guess dirt bikes are where the money is these days .

Well, if you do repairs, they provide a steady source of income - after all, the owners take 'em out and try to break them every weekend!

I saw the Discipline tour at USD - which tour did you see ?
That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.

I saw that tour as well in San Fran. Drove 120 miles each way to see them.

Saw them twice in the 70's at the Auditorium in Chicago. Starless and Bible Black and the Red tours. Both great shows.

At the Playground it must have been even earlier.

Jandebeur's had a Honda shop in  OKC in the 60s.  Maxey's was the only one after they closed.

Good luck to KP gius.  I hope that Brookside's can cover it.
