Last month Mike Jones brought me a mailing he'd been sent from A Taste of Italy "Real Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria" located in Altavista Va. Yesterday I fired up the MP3 & cruised on down to Altavista to try it out. I had one of my "usual's" linguine w/red clam sauce. I should have read the menu more carefully, because it plainly read "Linguine w/clams, served with marinara or white wine sauce" I got a nice dish of perfectly cooked linguine covered with clams.....and marinara sauce. Very good, but not the same as a true red clam sauce. I asked & was told the rolls were made of their pizza dough, they had excellent flavor, so I will be trying the Vegetarian Stromboli (add black olives) next Saturday.
The March 2016 SWVA Guzzi Riders lunch will be next Saturday, March 19th 12:30 PM at A Taste of Italy, 105 Clarion Road, Alta Vista, Virginia. The restaurant is located in the Alta Vista walmart strip mall. There is a "Clarion" exit off the Rt 29 bypass around Alta Vista. coming from the North, take the exit, turn right on Clarion Rd. then a left into the walmart complex. A Taste of Italy is about halfway down the lot on the right.

The advanced weatherguess has good days Friday & Sunday w/ a shower on Saturday. Hopefully they'll miss by a day....in either direction.
