Norge Highway Pegs - Solution Found
« on: March 14, 2016, 10:06:19 PM »
Found a few pics today on the Facebook page from the MG National owners club:

Posting them here for the folks who were searching for a solution a while back.  You'll need the Stucchi Crashbars for this setup, and then a set of these Kuryakyn pegs (I don't know which model # but shouldn't be too hard to figure out).  The only downside I had found with the Stucchi crash bars when I had them installed a few years ago was the vibration imparted since they are bolted to the cylinder head and the frame, but if you can live with that slight increase, this setup might be for you:

Pics are of this guys bike - I sent him a note that I would let folks know...

The 2nd Gen Norge is quite different in some key areas, FYI.

Question: The Norge has a slightly forward leaning riding position, even with risers. Is the monkey humping a football look avoided? I mean, it looks like your back is going to be arched quite a bit because the bars don't come back as they would on a cruiser type.  If you're 6' plus that might not be an issue but for riders less than that, your arms are outstreched and then your feet are doing the same thing.

Any pics of a side view while riding? That would put some perspective on it. :gotpics:

Let me ask the monkey...  ROFL...      No idea if he has any other pics...but Quasimodo will go off and hunt around for some.

In the meantime, isn't this what you guys were asking about...well, here's the Holy Grail.

Considering where his feet are, he won't be any more hunched over just by moving his feet forward, I frequently just stretch my legs way forward for 1/2 a minute and it doesn't change my back angle...

I agree with NP, it's got to be a strange contortion. Besides, highway pegs on a Sport Tourer?

Hey guys....provided you a solution with specifics - you're welcome!  Stucchi crash bars, Kuryakyn pegs...I don't have serial #'s or model #'s...but I'm sure you can figure it out from the pics, right?

I'm not saying to do it, if it looks good or not, if you're going to be a monkey screwing a football, but you guys were both talking about putting highway pegs on a Norge...so here you go.

I'm sure you can do some research now on your own if you are interested in pursuing it further...names of the items needed are listed there...you can find them on the Internet from the normal vendors.

Good luck!
