Back in the Saddle again
« on: March 19, 2016, 07:09:18 PM »
Today I took the '07 Breva out for its first ride since last August, when my wife died.  It's been a hard 7 months without my bride of 34 years, who was 58 years young when she passed.  Things are smoothing out a bit and today's ride was a great reminder of the need to get out and about more often.

I look forward to being involved once again with this fine forum.

The forum is very sorry for your loss, Prof... But we are glad you are back on two wheels. You're in good company here! And your bike, it will always be happy to see you. It will always be happy to make you smile.

Very sorry. Been there, about 15 yrs ago. It hurts like hell but life can be good again and it appears that you are now ready to start living again. Make the best of it here on out but cherish the memories. Best wishes.

So sorry about the loss of your wife Prof. They say that time heals but I know the sense of loss never seems to go.

May that Breva help put that smile back on your dial. I do know they are very good at doing that! :thumb:

Oh crap, not what I expected from the thread title.

Sorry to hear. Best of wishes.

She undoubtedly loved you and would have wanted you to go on.

Hang in there.

Thanks for the great supportive comments, guys!  Karen smoked most of her life, from teenage to the very end.  It was a COPD "event" that took her away.  In 2012 she had three surgeries in 33 hours that barely saved her life.  We had 3 wonderful years after she was whole again.  But life does go on, and I'm ready to move with it.

During the ride, I stopped at MotoInt and was invited to sit down and talk, by Dave R.  Such a nice and gracious man he.

Not gonna sell the Breva any time soon.
