Tasmanian LoopFrame Cross-Country
« on: May 03, 2016, 05:06:49 PM »
Our friends, Paul & Kerry Dickson of Tasmania, are avid Guzzi riders and collectors. Regina and I stayed at their home when we toured Tasmania last November, 2015.

This summer, 2016, they are planning for an extended Canada/USA cross-country. They have purchased a beautiful '74 Eldorado Police in Nova Scotia and will start their tour there. They fly into NYC on June 21st to spend a week there before fetching the bike in Nova Scotia. After local touring they will start westward on July 4th. They are scheduled to attend a family wedding in Pictin, Ontario on July 9 and then gently wend westward without a direct routing plan as yet. They want to see the Milwaukee Harley Museum and visit Sturgis along the way. They need to reach Portland, OR by August 14th and then join us in California before flying out of San Francisco on August 21. Essentially, the first third will be in southern Canada with the final two thirds across the northern tier of the US. That's about it for current planning.

I will be keeping in regular contact with them as they travel and will report their travel progress back to this group. If it sounds like you are along their route and would like to meet or could offer lodging or maintenance support then contact me and I'll put you in direct touch with them.

I'm not far from Picton. If I'm around, I may be able to help. Anyone travelling across country on a Loop is probably my kind of person.

Yeah, Nick.  Take them on their beautiful new Eldo for one of your rides along the Trans Taiga Road!
