Rosso Mandello valve cover needed to close restoration

I am not sure this is the correct place to ask for this kind og hjelp, but forgivness is better than to be allowed.

I need one valve cover for V11 Sport Rosso Mandello. This is the red color that is anodizied.

Anyone out there that can hjelp?

Rolf, those covers and all the anodized looking colors on Guzzis are really paint.  Paint can be matched.  You probably know this already, others may not.

The last I knew, Testors.. the model paint people.. made that color.

I had my valve covers powdercoated and am pleased with the result. You could get any color pair of covers and have them powdercoated in a color that is close enough - or sprayed together to match the original.

Then keep your originals in a box - and you can take your time searching for another original.

Find a good shop and have BOTH covers painted to best match.  Should be about $75.

BTW-have him paint the scratched up timing cover and no more than $110 for the whole mess.  How do I know?

Pop them off and get them resprayed. I'm about to do the ones on my Lemans.. One actually faded over time from the last owner keeping her outside.

The Rosso Mandello, Rosso Corsa, and Nero Corsa had valve covers that looked anodized, though they were painted.

Translucent Red over a silver base.

While I'm sure that many painters could match it.  I'm also sure that many painters would F it up.

Well, I had hoped to find a good used one - so that I did not have to buy another and paint both. It will be a challenge to find the correct colour to paint only one side.

I will try in Europe.

Hi Rolf,I thik you will find that matching that color up, as well as the matte finish is almost impossible. I had a Rosso and had to order a new valve cover. You may be able to have them both powdercoated , and they will look ok, but not the same......same deal with the "pork chops" on the V 11 sport.
