MG806 MG cycle crash bars
« on: April 23, 2016, 11:44:40 PM »
Bought a set of MG cycle crash bars (MG 806) does anyone have installation instructions for them? Would also settle for a pic of the crash guard installed.

Cheers,

Mike

Welcome to the group.  I think this picture of an early V7 Sport might help:

Thanks. Interesting how they don't seem to protect the engine...

There are two mounting holes up high in front if the frame.  Lower mount attaches to one of the existing two bolts in the frame down tube.  Looks like there is a reinforcement bracket(s) supplied for the upper mounts.  Make sure bars wrap BACK toward the cylinders.

You might be surprised. I've seen several ground down crash bars that did just that.

Those bars look similar or the same as the oem bars on my Jackal, and they took quite a hit before I got the bike, bent back and rashed up.  Engine untouched!
