ROX RISERS ON A STELVIO?
« on: March 18, 2016, 12:14:09 PM »
I'd like a bit of rise and a tad more pull back on Lola's handlebars.  So, I'd like to try 1 3/4" adjustable Rox Risers.

Anybody have experience, pics, advice, needed parts list for such an operation?

I had them on my '09 and liked the rise...

I do not recall the size, I'll see if I can find photos or details of the size.

Multi adjustable in back and forth directions.

I'd much rather ask for forgiveness than ask for permission.

How hard was re-routing all the cables and wiring? I would like to do the same on my V7C.

I have a set on my '16 Stelvio.  I believe they are 2".  I didn't need to do any mods to the wiring, although I went for the elevation and not to have more pull back.  Needed the bars a bit taller to make standing more comfortable for long distance.
If it's tourist season, why can't you hunt them?

Not hard but involved. On the Stelvio: lower side faring wings off; tank off; mirrors & hand guards off; handlebars off; controls off; fiddle with wires under triple clamps; hydraulic lines off; if you're careful you can loose only a little fluid, replace new crush washers, pump master cylinders till all tiny bubbles are out.  Finally replace controls and figure how to mount risers in such a way to tighten lower clamps under.I mounter risers to bars first.  ( I installed 1 3/4" risers which was tight to access the lower Allen head screws.) Good luck.
